For adults and children from 5 year-olds

Duration 45 mins
+ 20 min workshop on the stage

Can dance performance be defined as a simple movement back and forth in a gravitational field?

“Gravity is one of the fundamental forces in nature, a very attractive one. It sculpts the Universe, it warps time and space. It allows us to live on Earth and also to discover the universe. And even to change our view of the Universe.” say the creators of the performance.

The performance playfully interacts with principles of physics and thus stages its laws as a real, tangible physical and dance experience. Gravity allows us
to be aware that I am, here and now, embodied, perceiving the world around me and its powers – the opposite of mental existence in a virtual reality that is increasingly present for the young generation and in which corporeality and the awareness of it are weakening.

Fg the force exerted between two bodies with mass
G gravitational constant, equivalent to approximately 6.674 × 10-11 m3 · kg-1 · s-2
m1 the mass of body 1
m2 the mass of body 2
r the distance between the two bodies

After the performance, the audience is invited to try out various principles used in the performance, to get acquainted with movement, lighting and sound techniques.
